What is The New Beginnings?
It is an apartment building and program for use by single mothers who are struggling to survive and want to have a better life for themselves and their child/ children. Candidates for the program must be willing to do the work necessary to accomplish this goal.
Each apartment has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, plus a kitchen, front room, and plenty of closet space. Each apartment is fully furnished with everything needed to set up a household, including a washer and dryer. There are mentors on hand to answer questions and provide guidance.
What does it cost to live there?
The cost will be minimal so that the moms will learn to provide the resources for themselves and their children. Tenants will need to provide their own food, personal products, phone and Internet (if needed), and transportation.
How can The New Beginnings help a single mom?
It can help to provide a better life for mom and child by targeting the training resources needed for obtaining a good job. It can also help women learn to be better mothers and to cook nutritious cost-conscious meals. In addition, moms will learn how to manage money and relationships and make wise decisions to reach their goals. All of this is done in the context of following God's perfect plan for our lives as outlined in the Bible.

What do I have to do to qualify to live at New Beginnings?
- She must follow guidelines that enable her to move toward her goals
- Be willing to take and follow instruction
- Be willing to attend church with mentors on Sundays
- Keep apartment clean and organized (weekly inspection)
- Fill out an application and be interviewed
How long can a single mom stay at The New Beginnings?
She can stay as long as progress towards her goals is seen by her mentors. (usually about 2-4 years)
What are some other considerations?
- No overnight visitors without mentor permission
- Daycare help will be available if needed
- Visits by a significant other will be limited to weekends or during the week as permitted by the mentor(s)
What can a single mom expect from living at The New Beginnings?
She can expect to develop a life long relationship with her mentors that will give her a support system far into the future.
How does a person apply to live at The New Beginnings?
There is an application form to fill out and an interview process. The mom will be notified if she qualifies.
